On Tuesday the entire Penn State football program was in final prep mode for its trip to Ireland to take on UCF. Social media being what it is, news broke that PSU appeared to have names on jerseys for this game, as Phil Hecken of UniWatch pointed out:

It is interesting, as media day had Penn State in blue jerseys without names on them.
When Franklin was asked about it during the Big Ten coaches teleconference on Tuesday afternoon, he refused to really talk about it. However, he did say that with it being out on social media it is what it is.
Franklin says it's on social media now that Penn State uniforms will have names on back, but he's not real interested in discussing it.

A non-denial like Franklin gave was about as telling as anything. It appears highly likely that a big change like that is coming to the jerseys of Penn State…it also was clear Franklin was not happy with that news coming out before the game.
This is just the second time in the history of Penn State football that names will appear on jerseys. Penn State did names on jerseys in 2012 as a reward for the players who stuck around following all the craziness that was the NCAA sanctions.
We all knew something was likely coming, as earlier this offseason a helmet with numbers on it appeared on a players Twitter account, but was later shot down as just a mock up for office decor.
