Nagurski-Woodson Defensive Player of the Year: Carl Nassib, Penn State DE

Things didn’t exactly work out as planned for the Nittany Lions, as another season came and went without a big win or nationally relevant team to speak of. However, everyone was at least made to pay attention to the outstanding play of at least one player on the Penn State roster.

Of course we’re talking about defensive end Carl Nassib and his insane attacking numbers on the defensive side of the football. Nassib finished the season with an incredible 15.5 sacks and 19.5 tackles for loss, while only finishing with 46 total tackles on the year.

The sack and tackles for loss totals put him at the front of the class nationally, as well as inside the Big Ten, finishing first in sacks and tied for second in tfl’s.

Enough said…as for once the numbers do all the talking for us.
