Week 2 wasn’t a lot of fun for the Big Ten, as teams struggled against FCS opposition, others failed big tests on the national stage and even those that won by wide margins had plenty of questions to answer. Luckily, we’ve reached a new week and that means an opportunity to move forward in life.
Moving forward also means starting Big Ten conference play, as Rutgers gets an interesting introduction to the Big Ten. They’ll play host to a Penn State team with a new lease on life thanks to NCAA sanctions being lifted. There’s also games against Pac-12 and Big 12 opposition to help repair the reputation of the conference.
Hell, we’ve even got an in-state rivalry on the docket as well.
Now, imagine this slate after Michigan State and Ohio State won last week…suddenly the national narrative about the Big Ten’s Week 3 slate is vastly different. That’s not reality though, so…here’s the middle of the Big Ten getting some redemption against the middle of the other conferences, huh?
Let’s get to the staff predictions…and the brutal start to the season for that.
Staff Prediction Standings:
* 1 point for a victory, 2 bonus points for closest to the score in Pick Six games
