The Big Ten title game is set, it will be Ohio State versus Wisconsin…at least that was the assumption . However, both teams are far from locked in to trips to Indianapolis on Dec. 6.
Lucky for them, their fates are in their hands the rest of the way. Win out and we will see Ohio State take on the one team that has been able to beat them more than any other in the Big Ten since 2000. However, we’ve still got two weeks of football to play, and a slip up by either team could be pounced on.
Out West Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska all are holding out slim hopes — especially Iowa and Nebraska, who would be out of the race with losses at home this weekend. For Iowa, it’s a shot at Heartland Trophy rival and division leading Wisconsin that will make or break the season.
In the East, Ohio State can clinch a title game berth and at least a share of the division crown with a win on Saturday — no matter what anyone else in the division does.
