The Big Ten did some surprising things in Week 1, going out and beating a team on the West Coast and going 12-2 in what may have been the toughest Week 1 for the entire conference in some time. Such is the new era of the College Football Playoff, and we’ve got to say we like it so far.
However, Week 2 could provide the Big Ten it’s biggest chance to plant it’s flag in the national conversation. We’ve got a top 10 (for whatever non-CFB committee polls mean) matchup, as well as the end (for now) of a great college football rivalry and Ohio State playing at night.
The rest of Week 2 doesn’t provide much in the way of fantastic matchups, as the Big Ten takes on three MAC opponents and sprinkles a few helpings of FCS in there for flavor.
So, let’s take a look at our biggest games of Week 2, shall we? Let’s remind you of where our staff stands after one week of the season though first.
