Pick 6: Big Ten predictions for Week 1

Welcome the newest feature here at the Big Ten OT, as our staff takes you inside the biggest and best games the Big Ten will play in each week of the college football season. Over the course of the year we’ll highlight the games, the players to watch and give you our expert analysis.

The opening week of the Big Ten season gives us games across many nights, and as such we’ve stuck to picking the games that mean the most and take place on the weekend…where real college football is played, right? Hence the birth of our “Pick 6” weekly predictions.

Over the course of the season we’ll pick 6 games that mean the most to the Big Ten and give your our predictions…however, the fun doesn’t stop there.

We will not only be keeping track of records, but assigning points for picks. Each correct pick overall gets a point, but 2 points will be awarded to the staff member with the score closest to the actual one with out going over. Every correct “Pick 6” prediction counts double points (4 points for closest to score, 2 points for correct winner).

So, let’s get in to the look of two guys who happen to have nearly a decade of experience covering the Big Ten for a living — Andy and Dave. It’s time for our Big Ten predictions.

Week 1 Pick 6 Games:

– Purdue vs. Western Michigan

– Penn State vs. UCF

– Ohio State vs. Navy

– Maryland vs. James Madison

– Wisconsin vs. LSU

– Northwestern vs. Cal
