Previews and Predictions for Week 9 Big Ten Football

Halloween weekend, homecomings happening, and trophies being stolen from sidelines. It truly is the middle of the Big Ten football season and it couldn’t be any more glorious. Well, that is unless you are a certain newcomer visiting Madison on a weekend famous for its crazy Freak Fest and Homecoming all rolled in to one.

This week also features the hotly contested battle for the Paul Bunyan trophy between Michigan and Michigan State. It’s definitely a game both teams need to win, but only one side seems to think it’s a true rivalry game worthy of special attention.

We’ve also got a clash between the two schools located furthest from each other, as Nebraska hosts Rutgers for the first time in nearly forever.

Needless to say, the storylines are rich in Week 9 of action. It also happens to also be a pivotal week in our staff picks, as Andy looks to begin to get back in the contest with Dave.

Let’s take a look at the standings before we go any further though.

Staff Prediction Standings:
