Raise your hand if you had Lorenzo Harrison with the first offensive touchdown for the Maryland Terrapins on Friday night? It took in to the second quarter, but the Terps rushing game finally got going to open up the quarter.
The biggest beneficiary of that was the redshirt freshman, who appeared dead after a nice short gain, but found the hole in the FIU defense and was off to the races for a 40-yard touchdown.
After putting up a nice rushing effort in a blowout win over Howard, the Terps are continuing to kill it on the ground. Following that 40-yard TD run Maryland’s offense has 81 yards rushing, 61 of which came on that TD drive alone.
Now…if only Maryland’s defense could stop giving up the big play it would be a perfect start for the Terps down in Miami.
