Nebraska and Wisconsin are expected to be competitors for the Big Ten West division all season long, and according to some in the media they have some of the best talent in the conference as well. The two schools dominated the Big Ten’s official Players to Watch list, as they each put two players on the list.
The Cornhuskers got running back Ameer Abdullah and defensive end Randy Gregory on the list, while Wisconsin got running back Melvin Gordon and right tackle Rob Havenstein on the list as well. The foursome was joined by Iowa Hawkeyes’ left tackle Brandon Scherff.
Out east, it was quarterbacks stealing the show. Both Ohio State’s Braxton Miller and Penn State’s Christian Hackenberg were honored by the selected media.
