Early Big Ten title odds released by 5Dimes

Ohio State returns three stellar quarterbacks, a 1,000-yard rusher and just about every piece of a championship winning defense. So, the odds-on favorite to win the Big Ten in 2015 has to be the Buckeyes, right?

The answer is yes, as European betting outfit 5Dimes has released the first set of odds on winning each conference, according to Oddsshark.com. The Buckeyes were named the favorite by 5Dimes, with Michigan State coming up as the +300 second team and the Big Ten West’s Wisconsin in third at +800.

Interestingly, 5Dimes doesn’t see Michigan jumping up the standings all that quick, putting them behind Minnesota (+1200) at +1300 in the standings. Purdue brought up the rear with +8000 (a heck of a longshot odds if you’re in to that sort of thing).

Here is the full list:

Ohio State -150
Michigan State +300
Wisconsin +800
Nebraska +1100
Minnesota +1200
Michigan +1300
Penn State +1700
Iowa +2200
Rutgers +2500
Maryland +3000
Northwestern +5500
Illinois +6000
Indiana +6000
Purdue +8000

Breaking it down by division, here is how 5Dimes currently sees things breaking down:

East (overall rank):

1. Ohio State (1)
2. Michigan State (2)
3. Michigan (6)
4. Penn State (7)
5. Rutgers (9)
6. Maryland (10)
7. Indiana (13)

West (overall rank):

1. Wisconsin (3)
2. Nebraska (4)
3.  Minnesota (5)
4. Iowa (8)
5. Northwestern (11)
6. Illinois (12)
7. Purdue (14)
