Big Ten bball roundup: Feb. 11, 2015

The Big Ten season is well on the downside and it continues to baffle even those of us who have seen 30-plus years of this conference. However, there are some spectacular feats and great storylines happening.

As such, we’re going to take a look around the conference and some of the team-specific storylines happening to date.

Up first is a look at one of the major players in the race for Big Ten player of the year, Ohio State’s D’Angelo Russell. He may not be around long and Joe Dexter of The Buckeye Battle Cry say it’s time to appreciate just how good he really is.

Michigan State restarted their NCAA hopes with a dominating win over Northwestern, according to SpartanNation.com.

On the other side of the coin, Northwestern was defeated before the halftime buzzer sounded according to Wildcat Digest.

Testudo Times points out that Maryland’s NCAA tournament spot remains steady despite the recent struggles the Terps have had.

Perhaps the biggest question mark in the Big Ten is whether Purdue is a NCAA tournament team. Boiled Sports takes a crack at answering that very question.
